Potty Training Your Goberdoodle Puppy
Learn how we start housebreaking and crate training, and how you can continue the process at home for a well-behaved pup.
Yes! Our Goberdoodle puppies begin potty training and crate conditioning before they go home. While early training gives them a head start, continued guidance in their new home is key to success.
Starting Potty Training
Before leaving us, puppies are introduced to a routine for eliminating in designated areas. This early guidance helps them begin to understand where and when it’s appropriate to go. Puppies learn consistency and begin forming habits that make housebreaking easier once they’re in their new environment.
Crate Conditioning
Crate training helps puppies feel safe and secure, while also supporting potty training. Puppies learn to hold their bladder until taken to the proper spot, making accidents less likely. It also gives them a “den” where they can rest, relax, and feel confident.
Continuing Training at Home
While we provide the foundation, it’s important for families to continue:
Keeping a consistent schedule for potty breaks
Rewarding successes with praise or treats
Supervising your puppy to prevent accidents
Maintaining the crate as a positive, safe space
Our Goberdoodle puppies are given a head start in potty training and crate conditioning. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement at home, your puppy will develop reliable housebreaking habits and grow into a confident, well-behaved companion.
