Yes! All of our Goberdoodle puppies are microchipped before going home. At pickup, we provide you with the microchip details and instructions for registration so your puppy can be easily identified if ever lost.

Why Microchips Are Important

Microchips are a safe, permanent way to identify your dog. Unlike collars and tags, which can break, slip off, or get lost, microchips are implanted under the skin and provide a reliable method of identification that lasts a lifetime. If your puppy is ever lost and taken to a shelter or vet, the microchip can be scanned to locate your contact information.

Collar Safety Concerns

Collars are important for daily walks and attaching ID tags, but they can pose safety risks. Puppies can get caught on furniture or fences, and collars can snap or slip off, leaving a dog unidentifiable. Microchips provide peace of mind that even if a collar is lost, your puppy can still be returned safely.

What Microchips Don’t Do

It’s important to know that microchips do not provide GPS tracking. They cannot tell you your puppy’s location in real time. This is where modern technology, like Fi collars, comes in. Fi collars combine traditional ID with GPS tracking so you can monitor your puppy’s location if they ever wander off.
